Pawarim Komuniti aims to improve access to energy by investing in innovative and inclusive off-grid energy projects that are delivered by partners in the private sector and civil society.

Pawarim Komuniti projects are selected through a rigorous screening process to enable communities with the greatest need to gain access to sustainable and clean energy services.

Kamapim Pawa – Torricelli Mountain Range Conservation Area

Through this project, 2690 household solar lights and 350 streetlights will be installed across 50 villages in the Torricelli Mountain Range, West Sepik. Read the fact sheet (PDF).

This Pawarim Komuniti project will see 15,000 solar home kits installed in some of the remotest parts of West New Britain Province. The solar home kits will include clean lighting and charging facilities. Read the fact sheet (PDF).

 

A preview of the Light for Learning fact sheetLight for Learning

3860 solar home kits will be distributed to households and communities of Kokoda Track Foundation college students through Light for Learning. Read the fact sheet (PDF). 

 

Lighting up Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WaSH) Communities in Morobe

This project will support the installation of solar street lighting systems, community wash stations and kitchen taps in 15 villages. Read the fact sheet (PDF).
